Information About SAMUDRA

SAMUDRA :- System for Autonomous Marine Underwater Detection & Research Activities SAMUDRA is an Automomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) developed by a team of Undergraduate students from AIACTR(Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research) to complete in the AUVSI foundation and ONR's 16th International RoboSub Competition and the NIOT's 3rd SAVe Competition.


Concept

The concept of SAMUDRA is very unique and we intend to develop a new generation of AUV which is cost effective and technologically advanced as well as indigenous. For this they are working currently to develop as indigenous navigation and control mechanism as well as image processing mechanism.

Highlights

1. One of the few teams working on AUV in India. 2. Cheap & Incubation period of only two months. 3. Ranked amongst "top-5" in the "National AUV Competition" twice. 4. Designed on the principle of low cost & high efficiency.
