How To Improve Windows XP Shutdown Speed


This tweak the time XP waits before automatically closing any running programs when you give it the command to shutdown. To improve windows XP shutdown speed just follow this simple steps.


Step 1. Go to Start menu then select RUN Type ‘Regedit’ and click ok


Step 2. Now, find ‘HKEY CURRENT USER\control Panel\Desktop\’


Step 3. Select ‘WaitToKillAppTimeout’ then Right Click and Select ‘Modify’ then Change the Value to ‘1000’ Then Click ‘OK’.


Step 4. Now, select ‘HungAppTimeout’ then Right click and select ‘Modify’ Change the value to ‘1000’ then Click ‘OK”.


Step 5. Now find ‘HKEY_USERS\,DEFAULT\Control panel\Desktop’ then Select ‘WaitToKillAppTimeout’ then Right click and select ‘Modify’ then Change value to ‘1000’ then Click ‘OK’.


Step 6. Now, find \’


‘KHEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\’ 

then Select ‘WaitToKillServiceTimeout’ then Right click and select ‘Modify’ then Change the value to ‘1000’ then Click ‘OK’.


That’s it, after do this steps I am definitely sure your XP speed will be much faster than before.
